I’m happy to welcome Christiana Ellis to Pendragon Variety Network! Christiana Ellis is a long-time author and podcaster and has a great track-record for funny, so when she started releasing “Phyllis Esposito: Interdimensional Private-Eye,” I started reading.
Christiana Ellis has many other interesting things on her website, ChristianaEllis.com , including my favorites, Nina Kimberly the Merciless and Christiana’s Shallow Thoughts. So now that you have a better idea of Christiana’s flavor of awesome, let me send you over to Phyllis Esposito.
You’ll want to go to the first episode to get all the laughs:

You know how, sometimes a headache will kind of fade into the background until someone reminds you about it?
The table held dozens of tiny cubes, about an inch to a side, each of them individually wrapped in bits of colored paper. Some were stacked in matching colors, and a handful were spread casually in front of the piles. It was like Eddie was getting ready to film a damn TV commercial.
I’d gotten through the worst of my sponge withdrawal, or so I thought, but in that moment, I had never wanted anything more in my entire life.
My head pounded, my stomach rumbled, and I took three steps toward the table before stopping. When I tried to speak, at first my mouth was too dry.
“Well, hey,” I croaked. “Will you look at that.”
“Oh, go ahead, Phyllis,” cooed Eddie, patting me on the arm. “I know you’ve got to be hurting for it.”
I squeezed my eyes shut and turned away from the table, to face Eddie. “That’s not why I’m here.”
“Oh dear,” she clucked her tongue. “Has someone been lecturing you again? You know it’s perfectly safe, when used properly.”
